manual/ deploying centerboard

I recently purchased a very used Capri 14 (model 1). Can someone direct me to an owner's manual? Especially I'm interested in how to deploy the centerboard.

It's 74 and sunny here in Marina del Rey, CA. A good day for a sail!

The handbook/manual is on this site across the top menu "FREE C14 Handbook"

There are lines that attach to the top of the centerboard and route forward then back along the cockpit sides. Use those to raise/lower the centerboard. There is also a bungee cord that attaches to the top of the centerboard and runs to the transom, this should keep the centerboard down but allow some give if you run aground. I have removed my bungee and now use one of the cockpit lines to raise, and the other to lower. I cleat mine off in the down position while sailing... it is not forgiving at all when I run aground though, but it does not creep up while I am sailing either.

Good luck and enjoy

I sail in Ventura Harbor, consider towing your boat up here someday and we can sail together, more fun that way. I have been in MDR on my Catalina 30 but just overnight on the way to and from Two Harbors on Catalina Island.
