Yeah.
It seems that polar vortex is pushing the Gulf Stream south, we've had about nine weeks of rain with huge lows queuing up across the Atlantic. Today's' stands out with the strongest air. a good portion of the south of England is underwater just now.
It should be cold & snowing but it's relatively mild & very wet.
The ground is so saturated here some areas won't dry out until May !
We had a crappy season last year weather wise, few truly sunny summer days, grey mostly.
Only got to sail in shorts one day last season !
I can attest it way very windy yesterday. I was following a van down the A1 and it was getting blown on to the hard shoulder...I decided tree dodging on the back roads was safer!
That and my car was doing 10 MPG less than it normally does (straight into the wind all the way home).
We are co hosting the ' Hoo Freezer ' today & tomorrow,
quite famous in the U.K. & it's the 43rd year event but the practice race was cancelled today 'cos of the strong winds.
