Windsurf Trick: On the top section try to put a windsurf boom (wishbone) or two if necessary for leverage, on the bottom use the gooseneck to keep it from turning.
Pull from the windsurf boom as close to the end as possible for more leverage.

I think that, as their doing with the hulls, they should "legalize" more part builders with certain requirements, many of the non-legal stuff: fittings, vangs, bailers, blocks, do not give you any real advantage anyway.
A laser boom is just an aluminum tube (and so are the mast sections)...
Of course it does. Actually it's World Sailing who has no authority over any sailing club.
WS has authority over the races organised by the club only if the club wants a particular race to be held under those rules (usually one or two of the races we do here in a year).

Come on LaLi, you know there are not enough sails like that for even a single club's fleet... And for 130€? The cheapest used sails in good condition (and that means one season, not two races) around here go for about 300€ if you call the right people. This was the last sail on sale on our local...
It's a trade-off: decent price/being allowed to race.
No real difference in quality, performance etc... They say it's the price you have to pay for real one design racing though.

Practice sail: 139€
Same with everything else, so unless you are planning on racing ILCA sanctioned events, go for whatever lets you have fun without feeding the greedy monopolist and waste your money, nobody at club level really cares....
