Anyone ever sailed a catalina capri 13'. I picked one up from my neighbor for an unbelievably cheap price considering its almost perfect condition. It is almost identical to a laser except for some of the rigging and the cockpit is much larger. I was just curious what the deal is with whether they are still around or if they compete with the laser, or what anybody thinks of them.
I know the local Catalina dealer has had one in their lot for some time. Never seen one at a dock or out sailing though.
Portsmouth handicap: Catalina 13 (Capri) 91.7 Laser 91.1 Which means that the performances are virtually the same, if sailed properly, etc.
