You want the new style rudder, you got it!

Gee, and everyone else acts like that's a tough project to do. :)
I guess it is only tough if you want to do it right....

Ingenious! It has a double kick up rudder system so if you forget to raise the rudder when you're heading in to shore and you hit a rock not only will the old style system pop out but the new style will also. It's like insurance! Brilliant!!:D

It's got all of the bad features of the old style with all of the advantages of the new! Did I mention that he's selling it with no rudder and a Snark centerboard?

The chain is the "lock". The guy selling it is paranoid about it being stolen. Originally he stored it inside when the place was closed, but after a few weeks he just stuffed the Sunfish into the back of a daysailer and put the chain on it. From the road it looks like it's locked up.

The only problem is at the block holding the new style piece in is very very loose. It's held in place by some fabric strapping passed behind the vertical bolt and stapled to the wood. One good gust and I suspect it will come out.
