A friend just gave me a "sunfish like" sailboat with the letters "P M" on the sail and the deck. Any idea what that stands for or where I could find information about this manufacturer? I cant find a serial number or anything. The cockpit is shaped like a half barrel instead of flat like the sunfish. The sail is not in working order and it is missing some rigging and I'd like to get this thing on the water.

    Thanks!
    Chase

    Chase,

    Could you post some pictures?

Whole hull, cockpit area, rudder, rudder mount, sail.

    Is there a sailmaker tag?

    Chase,

I don't recognize the logo, but the style is reminiscent of the racing skiffs of the 70s just before the rise to popularity of the super hydroplaning "sleds", 49er, 505, and the like.

    Chase,

If it's like any other sailboat, all the blocks, cleats, eyes, lines, etc. will be regular boating hardware. You can look through the on-line catalog from a supplier like Annapolis Performance Sailing to find what you're missing.

Have you set up a sailboat before? If not, would you like some guidance?
