    I read some of the thread. It appears that the hull structure was waterlogged. The boat was old, had been used for charters and fixing the hull just wasn't cost effective.

    As a sailor who has bought and restored boats of that size that sunk during hurricanes, I agree that sometimes a boat's life is over. I salute those who destroyed her vs selling it to an unsuspecting sailer who later gets into trouble on the water.
