Does anyone have any idea what the crew is paid on a cup boat? I know that food+Room&Board are covered thorughout the entire trials and the actual cup should the team make it that far but what is the actual salary besides that?

Like any business, it depends what the employee brings to the table and if the employer needs/wants to pay for that skill set.

    Some rough #s

Head of the sailing team is going to get a multi-million dollar contract, with incentives.

Trimmers are six-figures (But they are expected to help in the sail design area) ~ 150-250K a year

Designers (with CFD experience) are low to mid six figures depending on their resume.

The above are for the top tier programs, which for the last cup meant they were employed for at least two years..
