Florida winter sunfish sailing

I found a little dolly to get my sunfish across the beach walkway. Had an awesome first sail on it. Winds were around 12mph with 2ft waves and some shore break. I rushed out and didn't put on my life jacket or wetsuit so I sailed pretty stiff not trying to fall in the water. Next time I'll slow down and do it right. The only issue with the boat was the hardware that holds the man sheet was bumping into the dagger board which lead to poor fairlead and difficulty sheeting in. Maybe I had the dahgerboard in backwards. I had the curve facing forward.

Yes, you had the daggerboard in backwards. The slot should be towards you so that you can move the board up and down easily.

Camcleat...that was the word I was looking for. Ok. I'll turn the daggerboard around next time. What a great sail though. I've never sailed a sunfish in the ocean. It was a lot of fun running along the swells.

Is there anyway to flip that photo around? I can't find an edit option.

I was putting the boat away today and it seemed much heavier. Is there anyway to drain it without adding the inspection hatches?

If I do add the hatches should I do the leak test first or after? Or does it not make a difference?

There should be a drain near the splashguard on the right hand side.
Put the hull on its side and balance it so that the drain is lowest.
Let's see if water does come out.
