I had similar event with my Hobie 16 sail. Involved purple berries (Birds seemed to love them) . The first thing I would try would be diluted liquid dish soap with water. Due to bright purple stains that was insufficient for me. I used water and oxy-clean mixture with good results. I laid it...
I just got one of these for christmas and have not tried it out yet. Looks like it will solve the problem of steering with the tiller while paddling. Also less bulky nas light weight. I have been using the atwood collapsable paddle and it is just a bit too long for the cubby. I also use a "fat...
Sorry for the lack of clarity, this reference was to the Bondo brand kit as I am unsure if all of their automotive products are cross compatible for marine use. My nearest West Marine is an hour away and simply wanted to point out options.
I patched a hole near the keel using a bondo brand kit from walmart or auto parts store can't remember which. Just check to be sure you have polyester based resin. Are you planning to paint gelcoat or just sail this boat?
If you are going to gelcoat the entire boat, I would just buy everything...
I second that request. Parts list and dimensions would be SWEET. What did you use for the Bunk boards? Axle and hubs?
I am looking forward to building one of these things over the winter.
Thanks bunches

Tractor Supply has those types of wheels/tires but I donot believe they are rated for highway use. You may consider a 1 way rental truck or trailer for the force 5.

I am located in Marlboro, NY. Currently have 1 Sunfish operational and drying out the foam of a second. I sail the Hudson out of Highland at Highland Landing (currently under reconstruction) or from one of the ramps in Poughkeepsie.

I use a wetsuit to extend my season. That being said you must assume you will be immersed and need exposure protection appropriate to the water temperatures. For fitting a wetsuit, a point to note is that a 1 piece suit may snug up in the shoulders and crotch with sitting or kneeling so make...
I recently took a leap of faith and re-gelcoated the hulls of my hobie 16. The process is time consuming and depending on your spray skills, can be very, very time consuming (orange peel = lots of sanding). Gel coat requires an additive or an overspray to allow it to cure to a tack free finish...
